Florida BBQ Compound Butter

This recipe can be used with any of our rubs, but for this one we used FL Steak Shake to take advantage of the amazing smoky-spicy herbiness of the rub. Compound Butter is a delicious and easy way to fancy up your next steak, baked potatoes, fish, corn on the cob, veggies, toast, or even used as a cooking fat. Not only is compound butter easy to make, but it also looks beautiful, adding an aesthetic flare and savory lift to any dish you put it on. Once you make the butter and have it wrapped tightly in parchment or plastic wrap, store in the freezer indefinitely until ready for use.

Those Florida Guys seasonings used in this recipe:

Yields: 1 Servings | Prep Time: 15 Minutes | Total Time: 2 Hours

Ingredients:

2 sticks salted butter (softened)

2 tbs. Those Florida Guys FL Steak Shake

1 tsp pepper sauce

2 tbs. Worcestershire sauce

1-2 cloves garlic pressed

Process:

1 | In a bowl add the butter, FL Steak Shake, pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic.

2 | Using a fork or a hand mixer, mix everything together to combine, until the color is smooth and consistent.

3 | Transfer the butter to a small rectangle piece of parchment paper and shape the butter into a log. Roll the parchment around the butter and twist the edges closed.

**Alternatively, lay out the butter on a baking sheet and use a scoop or spoon, measuring out 1 tbs.**

4 | Place the log or scoops in the freezer until completely frozen, then transfer to an airtight container and store in the freezer.

5 | Chill for at least 4 hours in the refrigerator or 2 hours in the freezer before using.

**you can use the butter right away if the dish does require firm butter.**

6 | Butter will keep in the fridge for up to 1 month or indefinitely in the freezer when kept in an airtight container.
